Thank you for visiting BruceHook.com. Recently retired from the corporate life, my focus these days is on playing music for seniors in their communities as a small one-person instrumentalist with a four-piece pre-recorded jazz ensemble backing me up.  I play over 150 melodies from the 1930's through the early 1970s, and my audiences swing, sway, and clap along with their favorites tunes.

In addition to performing for seniors, I also perform for receptions and celebratory events, cocktail hours, corporate dinners and parties, wine bars and fine dining establishments and anywhere an individual or small group is desired for background or atmosphere. My setup is simple: a saxophone or two, a small PA system for my pre-recorded backup band (bass, drums, piano, guitar), and a microphone stand.  

Based in the western suburbs of Chicago, and often available on short notice, if you find yourself needing a last-minute stand-in for a scheduled performer that had to cancel, please reach out to me.
